Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of SANDINO GENAO-GONZALEZ (DOB: 07/19/1979; divorced; cook) and JOHANNA ROSARIO-ARIAS (DOB: 04/18/1981; single; home attendant), both of 2016 Hughes Avenue, Apt. 2D, Bronx, New York, on charges of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, Namely Cocaine. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
During the month of January 2020, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force received information that SANDINO GENAO-GONZALEZ was involved in the distribution of narcotics. As a result of the investigation, SANDINO GENAO-GONZALEZ and JOHANNA ROSARIO-ARIAS were arrested in Fort Lee on January 6, 2020, and found to be in possession of approximately 250 grams of Cocaine with an approximate street value of $12,500. SANDINO GENAO-GONZALEZ and JOHANNA ROSARIO-ARIAS were each charged with one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, Namely Cocaine, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(1), a 1st degree crime. SANDINO GENAO-GONZALEZ and JOHANNA ROSARIO-ARIAS were released subject to conditions following their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on January 7, 2020.
Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
