EULALIO L. MARTINEZ OF FAIRVIEW, NJ CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT, ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD, AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONTACT, AND CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONTACT

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EULALIO L. MARTINEZ (DOB: 01/31/1985; married; employed as a car washer) on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, Criminal Sexual Contact and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.  The arrest is a result of a joint investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Martin Kahn, and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Mark Marano.   

On Friday, February 28, 2020, the school nurse at Cliffside Park High School reported information to the Cliffside Park Police Department that EULALIO L. MARTINEZ was sexually abusing a juvenile in Fairview, NJ.  The Cliffside Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and an investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the Cliffside Park Police Department, and the Fairview Police Department.  

As a result of that investigation, EULALIO L. MARTINEZ was charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2), a 1st degree crime; one count of Sexual Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(3)(c), a 2nd degree crime; one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:244a(1), a 2nd degree crime; one count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3a, a 3rd degree crime; and one count of Criminal Sexual Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b, a 4th degree crime.  MARTINEZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing on March 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in Hackensack, NJ.        

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Cliffside Park and the Fairview Police Departments for their assistance in this investigation.
