Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JONATHAN R. MANCINELLI (DOB: 3/5/1986; married; sales associate) of 264 Stover Avenue, North Arlington, NJ, on charges of Possession and Distribution Of Child Pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
On Friday, March 13, 2020, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JONATHAN R. MANCINELLI during the course of an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that MANCINELLI used the Internet to view, download, and possess digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children, and also share approximately 2,350 such files online.
As a result of the investigation, JONATHAN R. MANCINELLI was arrested on March 13, 2020 in Paramus, NJ, and charged with one count of Distribution Of Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(B)5(A)iii, in an amount greater than 1,000 files, a 1st degree crime; and Possession Of Child Pornography, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(B)5(B)iii, a 3rd degree crime. MANCINELLI was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the North Arlington Police Department for its assistance with this investigation.
