Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of RAYMOND G. ULLOA (DOB: 08/06/1990; single; unemployed) of 61-63 Carmer Ave., Apt. B, Belleville, NJ and TATIANA DELACRUZ (DOB: 05/10/1999; single, unemployed) of 1305 Paterson Plank Road, Apt. 5418, North Bergen, NJ on charges of Money Laundering. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the East Rutherford Police Department under the direction of Chief Dennis Rivelli.
On August 5, 2020, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force and the East Rutherford Police Department began an investigation into a Fentanyl mill in East Rutherford and Mahwah. Law enforcement discovered thousands of Fentanyl pills disguised as Oxycodone and Percocet in an East Rutherford apartment and contraband related to the mill at a home in Mahwah.
FRANK SMITH III, RAYMOND ULLOA, SANDY LEONARDOMATEO, and DONALD WALLACE were arrested in East Rutherford. JOIE SMITH, MICHELE CASTILLO, and YARITZA OCHART were arrested in Mahwah.On August 10, 2020, law enforcement learned that an associate of ULLOA’s, TATIANA DELACRUZ, was in possession of a vehicle belonging to ULLOA that was believed to be connected to the production and distribution facility. Officers searched the vehicle as well as DELACRUZ’s apartment pursuant to a court-authorized search warrant and seized approximately $175,000 from DELACRUZ’s apartment.
On August 10, 2020, RAYMOND G. ULLOA was charged with one count of Money Laundering, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25a, a 2nd degree crime. ULLOA was released on his own recognizance pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on August 26, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. TATIANA DELACRUZ was charged with one count of Money Laundering, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:21-25a, a 2nd degree crime. DELACRUZ was released on her own recognizance pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on August 26, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
