Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lodi Police Department are investigating a fire that occurred within a Rennie Place apartment in Lodi on Friday, October 13, 2023. At approximately 8:02 a.m., the Lodi Police Department responded to a fire alarm emanating from the Rennie Place apartment. Upon entry, first responders located an unresponsive 101-year-old woman in critical condition. The woman was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries. 

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti. No other information is available at this time.
