Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information: 

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m. the Garfield Police Department received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at a gas station located at 7 Jewell Street. Approximately 10 minutes later, a 911 call was received by the Elmwood Park Police Department reporting a second armed robbery at a gas station located at 68 Route 46 East. Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigation Squad responded to assist in the investigation.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram, and the Elmwood Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Foligno.
