Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Garfield Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of 7 Jewel Street in Garfield, on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Garfield Police responded after receiving a 911 call. They found a 26-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries, who was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram. No other information is available at this time.
