Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of HUMBERTO DUENAS (DOB: 4/20/1962; married; trucking industry) of Ridgefield Park, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella.

On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit received information regarding an alleged sexual assault of a victim under the age of thirteen on various occasions in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2023, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information regarding an alleged sexual assault of an additional victim, also under the age of thirteen, on various occasions in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, HUMBERTO DUENAS was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with 2 counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); second-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2c(4); 2 counts of second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a. DUENAS was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Ridgefield Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
