Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 32-year-old LUIS M. MORALES-JUTZUY of Ridgefield Park, NJ on charges of attempted sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Cmielewski.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Ridgefield Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgefield Park Police Department revealed that LUIS M. MORALES-JUTZUY attempted to sexually assault a female victim within a Ridgefield Park, NJ residence on April 21, 2026.

As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, LUIS M. MORALES-JUTZUY was arrested in South Hackensack, NJ and charged with second-degree attempted sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1/2C:14-2c(1); and two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3b. MORALES-JUTZUY was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella would like to thank the Ridgefield Park Police Department and the South Hackensack Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
