Press Releases << SADDLE BROOK, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD AND AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of VICTOR MORALES (DOB: 07/08/1991; single; lab technician) of Saddle Brook, NJ, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain John A. Zotollo Jr.

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the Saddle Brook Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding a report of child abuse.  An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Saddle Brook Police Department revealed that MORALES physically assaulted a child under the age of 13 years old who was in his care.

On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, as a result of the investigation, MORALES was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a; and third-degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(7).  MORALES was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Saddle Brook Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
