TEANECK, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ADAM S. RUTMAN (DOB: 11/22/1999; single; unemployed) of 261 Schley Place, Teaneck, NJ on the charge of possession of child pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit identified ADAM S. RUTMAN during an ongoing Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that RUTMAN used the Internet to view, download and possess files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.
As a result of the investigation, RUTMAN was arrested on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Paramus, NJ and charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii). RUTMAN is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Teaneck Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Glen Rock Police Department, Englewood Police Department, Saddle Brook Police Department and Hackensack Police Department which all participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
