For Immediate Release:
October 21, 2022

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of RAESHONN CORBO (DOB: 7/18/1992; single; unemployed) of Teaneck, NJ on aggravated manslaughter, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn O’Reilly.

In October 2019, the Teaneck Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the assault of a child, who later died of injuries sustained from the assault. On October 31, 2019, the child’s father, JONATHAN MELENDEZ, was charged with aggravated manslaughter. Subsequent to the investigation, a Bergen County Grand Jury was convened and ultimately determined that the child’s mother, RAESHONN CORBO, was also responsible for the assault and death of that child.

As a result of the Grand Jury’s decision, on Thursday, October 20, 2022, RAESHONN CORBO was charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, N.J.S.A. 2C:11-4a(1); second-degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(1); and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(2). CORBO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Teaneck Police Department for its assistance.
