Press Releases << THREE BRONX, NY MEN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE FENTANYL AND CONSPIRACY FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION IN TEANECK

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of EDOMAR TRONCOSO (DOB: 10/05/1993; married; self-employed) of 1686 Grand Concourse, Bronx, New York; HANSER HERNANDEZ-SOTO (DOB: 07/03/1997; single; self-employed) of 1361 Clay Avenue, Bronx, New York; and JEFRI DOMINGUEZ (DOB: 03/10/1987; single; self-employed) of 31 W. Tremont Avenue, Bronx, New York on charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and conspiracy.  The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On August 18, 2022, during a motor vehicle stop in Teaneck, NJ, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force searched two vehicles and located three kilograms of suspected fentanyl.  The investigation revealed that EDOMAR TRONCOSO, HANSER HERNANDEZ-SOTO, AND JEFRI DOMINGUEZ were transporting kilograms of suspected fentanyl packaged for sale through Bergen County.  All three individuals were arrested without incident.  

EDOMAR TRONCOSO, HANSER HERNANDEZ SOTO and JEFRI DOMINGUEZ were each charged with second-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(4); and second-degree conspiracy, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-2a(1).  Following their first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court on August 19, 2022, they were each released subject to conditions.

Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Teaneck Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
