For Immediate Release:
September 28, 2026

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 27-year-old RONNY MOQUETE ROSARIO and 26-year-old JACOB RODRIGUEZ, both of the Bronx, NY, on charges stemming from an armed robbery. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Saddle Brook Police Department, under the direction of Chief John Zotollo.

On Monday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 6:51 a.m., the Saddle Brook Police Department responded to the armed robbery of a business on Lanza Avenue in Saddle Brook, NJ. That morning, the victim arrived and parked his vehicle near the establishment. After the victim was parked and exiting his car, a male suspect wearing a black hood, facemask, and armed with a handgun emerged from a white four-door vehicle with dark tinted windows, which was parked near the victim. The armed suspect confronted the victim, and stole money, valuables, and personal items. The suspect returned to the white four-door vehicle and fled north on Midland Avenue.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad was notified, responded to the scene, and initiated a joint investigation with the Saddle Brook Police Department. Detectives were able to identify the suspect vehicle as a 2018 Acura TLX, which displayed a bogus temporary New Jersey registration tag. Ultimately, detectives linked the suspect vehicle to JACOB RODRIGUEZ. In addition to RODRIGUEZ, detectives identified RONNY MOQUETE ROSARIO as an additional suspect responsible for committing the armed robbery in Saddle Brook, NJ.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, RONNY MOQUETE ROSARIO and JACOB RODRIGUEZ were each charged with first-degree armed robbery, N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1a(1); second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b; second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a; and fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a firearm, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1b(4).

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with the assistance of the New York Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Violent Threat Initiative and the New York City Police Department (NYPD), detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Saddle Brook Police Department located RONNY MOQUETE ROSARIO and JACOB RODRIGUEZ in the Bronx, NY. RODRIGUEZ and ROSARIO were apprehended without incident, placed in the custody of the NYPD, and held by New York authorities pending extradition back to Bergen County, NJ.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella would like to thank the Saddle Brook Police Department for its partnership and assistance throughout this investigation. Furthermore, he recognizes and thanks the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office; FBI New York Field Office’s Violent Threat Initiative; Hasbrouck Heights Police Department; Paramus Police Department; Port Authority Police Department; Tenafly Police Department; and the NYPD for their assistance, particularly for their individual and collective efforts in apprehending the various defendants.
