UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH DISTRIBUTION AND POSSESSION OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE MATERIAL AND ATTEMPTED ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of FRANK CIRINO (DOB: 11/03/1953; divorced; unemployed) of 255 Rt.17S, Room 9, Upper Saddle River, NJ on charges of distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Thursday, June 22, 2023, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of FRANK CIRINO during the course of an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that CIRINO used the Internet to view, download, possess, and distribute items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children. In addition, CIRINO engaged in sexual conversations with other Internet users whom he believed to be underage.
As a result of the investigation, FRANK CIRINO was arrested on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Paramus, NJ and charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography, N.J.S.A 2C:24-4b(5)(a)(i); third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii), and third-degree attempted endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:5-1a(1)/2C:24-4a(1). CIRINO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
This investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, is ongoing. Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
