WALDWICK, NJ MAN CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED SEXUAL ASSAULT AND ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of RYAN MALILLO (DOB: 06/15/1986; single; mover) of Waldwick, NJ on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Waldwick Police Department under the direction of Chief Mark Messner.
On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the Waldwick Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Waldwick Police Department revealed that RYAN MALILLO sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 13 and 16 in Waldwick, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, RYAN MALILLO was arrested in Paramus, NJ and charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)(c); and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). MALILLO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Waldwick Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
