WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ MAN AND GARNERVILLE, NY MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENSES

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of NELSON CEDENO (DOB: 8/26/76; single; unemployed) of 23 Daniel Court, Woodcliff Lake, NJ and KEITH CHANDLER (5/1/90; single; property manager) of 9 Ramapo Road, Garnerville, NY on the charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Monday, December 5, 2022, during a narcotics investigation, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle occupied by NELSON CEDENO and KEITH CHANDLER in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. A search of the vehicle uncovered five pounds of marijuana located in a suitcase in the rear of the truck. Both men were arrested at the scene without incident.
Later that evening, a search of CEDENO’s Woodcliff Lake, NJ residence was conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Woodcliff Lake Police Department. During that search, police located an electronic money counter and plastic wrapping materials known to be used to package controlled dangerous substances.
As a result of the investigation, NELSON CEDENO and KEITH CHANDLER were charged with second-degree possession with intent to distribute marijuana, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(10). Both men were released pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Woodcliff Lake Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
