For Immediate Release:
September 1, 2022
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of BRETT HALLORAN (DOB: 9/14/1980; married; employed as an attorney) of Wyckoff, NJ on charges of stalking. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On August 23, 2022, an individual reported to the Haworth Police Department that a GPS tracking device was located on his vehicle. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad was notified, and its investigation revealed that BRETT HALLORAN was responsible for placing four GPS tracking devices on vehicles in a repeated and ongoing pattern of stalking against an individual.
On Friday, August 26, 2022, HALLORAN was charged with fourth-degree stalking, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-10b. HALLORAN was released subject to conditions following a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on August 26, 2022.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Wyckoff Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
